Embracing Daisies is my passion project dedicated to assisting individuals and communities in preparing for the end-of-life. As a Death Doula, I create and hold space, conduct informative classes, and lead ceremonies to educate and guide others on their journey toward embracing death, navigating the complexities of dying, and understanding movement with grief.

I spent my childhood in my aunt's cozy California home, a unique space that also served as a small retirement community. Here I witnessed my aunt tenderly care for those nearing the end of their lives and providing emotional support to their families. This introduction to dying and death painted it as a very natural part of life for me. From this early age, I found myself captivated by the mystery of life and death.
Years later I became an Activities Director in a North Carolina assisted living facility. This job provided profound experiences.
These experiences taught me the importance of facing death with presence, pushing me to wholeheartedly embrace life, choosing vulnerability, love, and joy. In that unique space, I discovered that death isn't to be feared; it's an integral part of life. This realization guided me to my calling as an end-of-life doula.
My hope in my service as a Death Doula is that I can help others reflect on their own thoughts and feelings around death. For if we can alchemize our fear, death becomes the key that can truly unlock the potential of our lives.
